Happy New Year everyone! I have decided to start with a clean slate. I have purged/cleaned out my history on my blog... and starting to work on a new me.
1) I have come to the conclusion, or should I say I am admitting, that I am a very negative person! I am sure you all had this figured out a long time ago!
I am going to work on having positive posts - find the good in each day, each situation, each person. That is asking alot as it is WAY easier to be negative than positive. I am a work in progress.. but that is one of my goals.
2) Another goal is to get to my goal weight. I have promised myself I would do a lot of things this past year, such as; track, exercise, eat right... and I don't seem to keep it up after a week. I would like to change this. I want to rededicate myself - not blame others for me not being successful. Control what I can and let go of everything else.
3) Do the marathon taking place in Vancouver Washington in April 2010 - I am in training - started on January 1st. Its a walking marathon - I had originally planned to do the 1/2 but seem to be pushing myself to train for the full.
January 1st I walked 6 km -
on January 2nd I did 10.8 km...
the turn back was 7 km for training for the half but most halfers were behind me and the full marathoners were a few yards in front - so I jogged to catch up to them and finished with them. It sure felt good - but by the time I got home my muscles were stiffening up! A good hot bath with epsom salts, a foot rub with herbal "tired feet" creme and a good nights sleep and I was near new in the morning. I haven't slept that solid or good in years!
Those are 3 very tall orders.... let 2010 be successful for you and me!
Here's to a healthy robust 2010!

Time will tell
I found this post in my draft file... it was never posted, til now. It was written on Dec 17th I believe...
I was down 2.2 lbs this week - my guess is because I was at the end of tom.. the week before I had gained 1.8 lbs so I guess I am now ahead some. Slowly but surely the lbs will come off again? Yes that is a question. In January my naturepath will have me on a very strict diet... then I am SO hoping the lbs will melt away! Okay, I don't want to count my chickens b4 they are hatched. I will also be training for a half marathon... that should help with weight loss and getting into shape too.
Time.. there never seems to be enough of it and yet many times it seems to get wasted. Some time is very important and other time one wishes it was used differently.
